Muster roll dated 1 Aug 1775; enlisted June 16, 1775; service 1 month, 21 days. Also company return (probably Oct 1775); also; order for bounty coat or its equivalent in money dated Richmond Nov 26, 1775 (from Mass Soldiers & Sailors in the Revolutionary War.

Note from above. Nathaniel Staples appointed administrator after David's widow, Phebe Shearman, says it would be inconvenient for her to serve & requests Nathaniel be appointed. Are Phebe and Lydia the same person? Inventory of the estate appraised at $3250re + $1478.94pe. Mentioned in accounting dated 7 Aug 1832 Elias Staples, Jacob Shearman, Entry for Mr. Tribble for gravestones. NOTE: Apparently this is the David Sherman who married Phebe Clark.
