!DEATH-RELATIONSHIP: The Vermont Standard - Thurs., 18 Mar 1951
TUCKER - Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Billings Chapel here for Albert Eugene Tucker, 70, who died at his home here after a long illness. The Rev. Arthur Colbourn conducted the service with entombment in Riverside Cemetery. Bearers were Sgt. Warren Morton, Fred Doubleday, Solon Vail and James Maynes. Mrs. Tucker was born in Canaan, N. H., June 17, 1880, the son of Rufus R. Tucker and Jennie Sharpe Tucker. On Mar 2 1913, he was married to Ruby McLaughlin, the ceremony taking place in Gaysville. Although Mr. Tucker had seven sons in the armed services, Eugene was killed in action in Africa, Feb 9, 1942, Cpl. Earle Tucker and Pvt. Lloyd Tucker are at Camp Edwards, Mass; Sgt. Edgar Tucker is now in Korea, and T=Sgt Arthur Tucker is at Lackland AF Base, San Antonio, Tex. Fred Tucker, now in Woodstock, is a veteran as is Henry A. Tucker of Lebanon, a son by a former marriage. Surviving are : Mrs. Tucker, the six sons, a daughter, Mrs. Adrian Little of Washington D.C., seven grandchildren, a niece and several nephews.
