that he was born at Upton KY, and that he knew and visited his grandfather
old Harrison. HER's father Wade 'Hampton' Ramsey was born 8 May 1868 per Hamp
and Ada's Bible.
The 1900 OK census Pawnee shows Wade, Ada, and two surviving
children Harrison, 7, and Sarah, 5 [Sarah Evaline Ramsey]. Other Ramseys in

born in TN. I visited Court House at Pawnee OK,1992 found a good bit more info
In 2003 found online a number of the people mentioned in land records books
records books for 1890s, Ramseys. These fit with George Washington Ramsey b.
TN who died Pawnee OK 1904, and several of his offspring are named. See notes
for Jesse Denton Ramsey for transcription of my notes.

Harrison told his son Wade Hampton Ramsey, born 1868, that he lost his two best friends at the battle
of Shiloh which Harrison fought in, according to my father-in-law, Harrison Edward Ramsey, son of Wade
Hampton Ramsey. Harrison the Civil War veteran lived (1880 census) at Upton, Hardin Co. KY, and his
grandson Harrison Edward Ramsey visited him as a boy and told my husband Vance about having visited
Upton. Upton had formerly been named Wallingford, but after 1880 the name was changed because there was
another larger town named Wallingford in northern Kentucky. My husband's late brother Robert told me in
2001 that his dad, Harrison Edward Ramsey, had two old books about Shiloh which were passed down.
