    Obituary from the Huntsville Weekly Independence dated Sept 30, 1880 reads: Mrs. Nancy Winston, sister of the late Thomas and William Brandon (wife of Isaac) who were well known in the early history of the communtiy, died at the residence of her son, Mr. Isaac Winston near Meridianville in this county Sunday the 26th of Sept 1880. Born in Burke County, NC in 1790, she was the mother of 11 children, 5 of whom have gone before her. When in her 16th year, she became a member of the Methodist Church and for 74 years remained a devout member...was 90 yrs of age at her death.

    !RELATIONSHIPS: Wilson County, TN Deed Book Y, Pg 390-91. Dated 28 Nov 1849. lists Nancy Winston, W.C. Winston, I. N. Winston, Lucy Jane Winston, W. S. Byars & Rachel Byars, Thomas B. Winston, Joseph W. Winston, and Meary E. Winston.
