Starks family of Allen County, Kentucky:Jeremiah Stark emigrated to Warren County, now Allen County Kentucky, from Virginia at the turn of the century (1800). He purchased a large body of land upon which he settled his children. He was an extensive planter and an active member of the Baptist Church, building for that denomination the church at Gainesville where it now worships and where his remains are interred. His children were James, Daniel, William, John, Bashaba (Moorehead), Elizabeth (Godley), Jesse, Raliegh, and Thomas.
